WEEK 24

I have been dreading writing this post, so sorry it is so late.  My friend Nital lost her baby last week.  I could not imagine what she has been going through.  No words can make the pain go away. I have been thinking about her all week.   When I found out, I just held Colby so tight and he got to sleep in our bed for a couple of days.  I am hoping we can visit her when she is ready to see all of us.

A lot has happened in the last few days.  Colby has been sitting up by himself.  He still has to be supported some times but he can sit for a couple of minutes.  I am so proud of him.

Over the weekend, we traveled to New Jersey/New York to watch my friend Annette get married.  The wedding was so beautiful.  The weather was gorgeous and her dress was spectacular.  Bill and I got to escape from baby world for a moment and enjoy having conversations with other adults that did not revolve around poop.  Marsha and Grammy took care of him for the night and actually got him to sleep through the night. Uncle Dave all came to see the little guy.

The next day was Father's day and Bill was completely in for a shock.  I cleaned the house before we left so there were no chores to do.  I treated him to pancake breakfast at IHOP (yay) and bought him tickets to an Orioles game next month and a massage next weekend.  I also made him a father's day photo book.  He had a great first father's day.

Here he is at 24 weeks:
