WEEK 44

Frankenstorm hit the east coast this week and we prepared for the worse.  Bathtubs were filled and we braced for a killer storm.  The wind and rain come for two days, but just blew over some trees,  We never lost power.  However, we did have a scare that weekend.  Colby had to go to the emergency room.  He touched/licked my spoon that had peanut butter on it.  An hour later, his lip swelled up.  I wish I got a photo, but we were in panic mode.  He looked like a duck with drool everywhere.  Colby didn't mind the swollen lips, but we were worried that his throat could swell up to.  After several hours at the hospital and benderyl, Colby was fine. When he turns one, I will get him tested for other allergies.  Since I am still nursing him, I have been avoiding anything peanut related (and it has been so hard).

After the storm cleared out, we were worried Halloween would be cancelled.  Thankfully, it was still on for that Wednesday.  We went as a medieval themed family.  I was a maid/princess, Bill was a mercenary  and Colby was a dragon.  We only went out for a about 40 minutes.  Colby had a blast seeing all the kids and the neighbors.  Mommy and Daddy ate all his candy when we got home, but he got to play with them first.

The rest of the week was a blur since it was such a short week.  We had our family photo-shoot over the weekend with Erin Wheeler.  I CAN NOT wait to see these pics.  I know they are going to be awesome.

Here is the dragon:
