Months of planning are over. Colby's first birthday went off with a bang. He officially is not one yet, but due to the holidays and our cruise next week, we celebrated two weeks early. We went crazy with the snowman and snowflakes theme. I made a snowman cake, a snowball smash cake and cupcakes for the kids. Plus, we had a smore and hot chocolate station. The main courses where hot dogs, sandwiches meatballs and sandwiches. Colby had a blast seeing everyone. Especially lots of my family from up north and our friends from work and school. Bill and I were kinda disappointed in several friends/family who could not make it. But, that means we don't have to see them anytime soon.

Colby could not figure out the whole smash cake concept. He put his hand in it and just licked the icing, but then gave a disgusted look and smeared it on his face. I guess he doesn't like sweets (unlike his mommy).
Next week I will be on break from the blog, but will be back with one last blog entry in 2 weeks. It has been a great year ;-)
