Bill and I celebrated our two year anniversary and it was bittersweet. We went to Annapolis and did some shopping. We also dealt with our sick dog this weekend. Juno was not eating or drinking and appeared very sluggish. We took her to the vet on Saturday and the doctor did some bloodwork on Juno . The vet noticed that Juno had swollen lymph nodes too. I came back on Monday so the vet could run more tests. He did a chest x-ray and that can back inconclusive. He noticed spots on her lungs and that her windpipe was curved, which was the reason it was hard for her to breathe now. Juno's heart was also enlarged. I left with some medicine to make the lymph node swelling go down. The doctor believed that she probably had cancer. I was told that Wednesday or Thursday we would find out the answer. I called the vet today and found out our beloved dog has lymphoma, a form a cancer. We are hoping that she can make it until the baby is born. But if she is suffering, then we will have to do what's in her best interest. Here is a pic of our cutie pie:
Bill and I are not trying to dwell on the sadness of Juno's illness. We just want to enjoy the time we have left with her. This weekend the crib will be put together and I'm hoping the changing table will come as well. I can't wait to get this room started/finished.
We will probably take Juno to the park and enjoy what's left of the summer weather.
