This week Bill and I had our first baby class... Infant CPR. It was very informative and very scary at the same time. The nurse said every child might not need CPR, but they definitely will choke and you will have to get the food out. Foods to avoid giving a kid: Mozzarella sticks, hotdogs (boo), raisins and marshmallows. We got to practice on this weird looking doll. We learned how to do compressions and the correct amount of breathes. I felt like if this was a real life scenario I would have broken our baby's ribs or other vital organs and probably panicked. The choking scenario was the scariest. You have to beat your child's back very forcefully to force the food out. I am gonna cut out all our baby's food to the tiniest pieces after being in this class.
Our baby is now the size of a hothouse cucumber. Yes, it an odd shape. He is roughly two pounds and he can hear sounds now.
I asked Bill for our anniversary to buy me these special belly bud
headphones to put on my belly to play music. I have started to use them
and the baby kicks around a lot when I play the music. I don't know if
he likes the song selections or he hates them.
