Week 11

This week has flown by.  I often find myself lost in thought or in an utter state of confusion.  I don't know if it is from the pregnancy or the enormous amounts of work I have.. home and real work related issues.

Lets get to the fun stuff!!! On Tuesday, Bill and I had our critical appointment to find out if the baby showed signs of Down Syndrome.  The baby looks great so far. There was no abnormal amount of fluid present around the brain.  The baby has grown so much since the last ultrasound.  We got to see feet, hands and ears.  The baby was even moving around.  It was such a magical feeling.  Even at one point during the ultrasound the baby was taking a nap and didn't want to cooperate for the technician.  Baby came around "eventually" and gave us several poses.  This is what the baby looks like around Week 11:
Over the weekend, I went to Amisha's Baby Shower in Connecticut.  I had such a great time.  The food and decorations were amazing..  Amazing is not even the word to describe it.  Her sister in law Kavita made these strawberry cupcakes which were out of this world.  There was even an ice-cream bar.  Take a look:

After seeing her beautiful shower, it gave me ideas for mine.  I want to rent a tent and set it up in the backyard and have a intimate gathering with lots of food.. probably Kavita's cupcakes will make an appearance (LOL) and maybe an ice cream bar too.

It was great catching up with Zena, Amisha and Nital.  I even got to see Asha, Payal and Siddhi.  I haven't seen those girls in years.  Nital's daugther Nandini was the cutest thing I have ever seen.  No children, not even ours will be as cute as her's.  Nandi reminds me of a cabbage patch doll.

Even at seven months pregnant, Amisha looks beautiful.  Here is the two preggo's together.

Later on that night, Amisha styled my hair extensions for me and we took many pics.  Notice anything bigger in this photo.  Yeah WOWZER!!

All my nausea symptoms are gone and now I am on my way to the end of the first trimester. Next week, Bill and I travel to Oregon and Washington State.  I am excited for the trip, but dreading all the planning that is left.   Three weeks from now we find out the gender.  Yes!!!!! Baby names are often our topic of discussion.  Please tell me what name you like and why?  We are open to suggestions.  Check out the baby name tab!!!
