Week 34

Last Saturday we took a New Mom, New Baby and Safety course at our hospital.  We learned a lot of things besides the basic safety facts about cribs, car seats and gates.  The one item Bill and I remembered from the class was about dental hygiene.  I didn't even think about it.  Our baby will probably be developing teeth maybe as early as 4 months and we will need to brush them, etc.  The one thing that scare us was seeing all these nasty photos of babies with tooth decay from drinking juices.  We are never going to give our baby juice.  I swear on my life.  The baby will only have Breast milk and water later in life.  I am sorry, but those photos of tooth decay were gross.

The other safety issue that was brought up was the importance of the car seat and what position it should be in depending on the age and weight of the child.  I think one of the car seats is properly installed and the other, not so much.  I believe this Saturday we have an appointment to get them inspected by our local police Department.

The weekend was jammed back but the rest of the week was a pleasure.   This was a very short work week due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.  I have been enjoying every second not working (I could get used to this).  Bill and I had a very low key Thanksgiving at our house since we are not able to travel anymore.  It was perfect.  I made a small turkey in the slow cooker and we had some leftovers from Emily's party several weeks before.  All we had to make was stuffing (5 minutes) and a spaghetti squash.  The best part of the night was my cupcakes I got from our local bakery in town.  I have been craving these since I saw them on their website a month ago.  They are the best I had ever have.  Yummmy.  It was a great Turkey Day.  GOBBLE GOBBLE.
