The back pain has not gone away, but this time it comes and goes. The baby is moving around and some times I get a lucky few hours where I do not need medicine or a heating pad. The Vicodin helped for a couple of days and now I am just using plain Tylenol for the smaller aches and pains. I think I have gotten a maximum of 2 hrs sleep each day since last Friday.
In an effort to help ease my pain, my family has come down to help us before my induction date. Phyllis and Grammy came on Saturday and Marsha came on Wednesday. Christmas festivities were very minimal this year. We haven't been doing much since I have been in too much pain to leave the house. I have been trying to get out a least once a day for some minimal exercise. I am taking very small steps each day.
Last week we ran out of the doctor's office in a hurry so we never made another appointment. Luckily, I got one on Tuesday to see where we stand with the baby weight and find out exactly about the induction process. The baby is near 8 lbs which has me worried since he is getting big. Dr. Ra said the induction is still on for Thursday (as long as beds are available). She felt confident that since I have been having contractions that the induction should work. I have my doubts. I just hope we get a bed and I do not have to be there for 24 hrs waiting for my cervix to dilate.
Wish me luck because tomorrow is the big day :-). Our baby boy will be here soon. 2012 will be a great year.
