WEEK 3

Colby is very alert now.  I see those beautiful blue/gray eyes more and more each day.  I know he can't see clearly out of them yet, but I catch him looking at the light and sometimes he even follows it around the room.  Colby also impressed us already at three weeks.  We have been doing tummy time with him since he was born and he can now hold his head up for 10 seconds.  He has some strong muscles.

This week, like the last, just goes by in a blur.  I still feel like a cow, but now I am pumping here and there to build up a supply.  I want to get him to start a bottle by the end of next week.  I am sure this will be difficult, but we will see what we can do.  The more and more I breastfeed, I realize how difficult it really is.

Tomorrow Bill and I are going to the Salisbury Mall to take newborn photos.  I can't wait for the photo shoot.  I am also a little nervous since we haven't brought him out much since he was born.  It is gonna be a task just to get out and drive with him for an hour.  I know at least once we get to the mall they have family places to breastfeed so it won't be so difficult.   Bill and I are also going out to eat with him which we haven't done yet.
