WEEK 28

Colby had his 6 month appointment on Wednesday.  He weighed 18lbs 10 ounces and was 27.5 inches long.  Woozer.  That explains why my back hurts all the time.  The Doctor saw Colby lifting himself off the ground and rocking back and forth.  She said he will be crawling next month by this rate.

We were surprised to find out this visit, Colby would be receiving a vision test along with more vaccinations.  I didn't know young babies got vision tests this early.  They check to see if there are differences in the eye when they see an image flash before them.  Colby failed.  We were shocked and are now very scared for the little guy.  He has an appointment with a pediatric optometrist October 8.  I hope he won't have to wear an eye patch.

Onto happier things.  Finally I was able to take some photos of the whole food making process.  Here are some photos of me making applesauce.  I gave him avocados and bananas this week.  He hated the avocados.

More happy stuff.  Zena is finally engaged.  Yay!!!   Now, all the fun can begin.  Her and Adam are expecting their baby "X" in December.  I have a feeling it will be a girl.  Now we can all plan our trip to Disney world with the kiddos.  Here are some photos of Zena when I visited her in June.

Here is the little pirate at 28 weeks:
