Week 8 (still)

I got the best news I could hope for on Tuesday.  At my doc. apt.  Bill and I were able to hear the heartbeat and see the baby.  It was surreal.  I can't believe there is something growing inside of me.  And it has a heartbeat.  It was crazy hearing the beating pulses coming from the machine.

We got a filmstrip with 5 different pics, but here is the best one:

Now, I can put my worries aside.  I was so happy that the baby is doing fine and growing normally.  As for the due date.. yes I am a week behind, hence I changed my baby ticker and I am 8 weeks 3 days along.  These are estimations anyway.  The baby could possibly be due on New Years Day.  If that is the case,2012 is gonna be the best year ever.

This week I have been feeling a lot more pregnancy symptoms.  First off, my boobs are getting huge and hard.. I can't believe I am saying this.. but I love the fact they are getting bigger.  Second, I am starting to get a little nauseous sometimes.  I just get a little queezy here and there.  No throwing up so far.  Third, I am getting a nasty body odor..  Yes, I will admit it, I smell.  I never thought I did (but maybe I did and no one told me). I think I need to carry around some deodorant in my purse.

So far no one has noticed anything differently, which is a good thing.  This brings me to Amanda's wedding last weekend.  Yes, I had to pretend to not be pregnant for 5 hours and it was hard.  Her wedding was amazing and she had this beautiful display of beer in a canoe.
There was also a station for wine and sangria.  But, no hard liquor, so I was stumped on how to get a drink without someone figuring out I am drinking water.

I found the darkest beer bottle (Guiness which I hate) and snuck off to the bathroom and poured it out.  When I came back, beer in hand, the bottle was now filled with water.  No one knew the whole time I was drinking water.  I was cheering all night..

The baby is 0.63 inches and is the size of a raspberry.  Fingers and toes are starting to develop.  Cool.
