WEEK 7

We had our first family long distance trip to Penn State over the weekend.  Bill requested this trip as his early birthday present and we had tons of fun.  Colby got to experience the Hub, the Bookstore, the Creamery and some stores downtown.  His favorite part was trying on some hats at the Bookstore.  However, due to the cold nature and the snow all over town, we didn't get to see as much as we wanted too.  Hopefully we can go back in Spring and take a photo of the little man with the Nittany Lion.

Before we left for Penn State, Colby went to the doctor for his 6 week checkup.  He weighed 11 lbs 1 ounce and was 22.5 inches long.   Colby got 3 shots and he cried, but after two minutes he forgot about the pain.  He was a trooper.

I mentioned to the Doctor that Colby has been spitting up 7 out of the 12 feedings and he is always arching his back.  She said he has acid re-flux and gave us a prescription for Zantac.  Poor guy, but I do feel like it is helping him be more comfortable.

Colby also is no longer in our bedroom. I was sad to see him go, mainly because it means more work for me to do when I have to get up to feed him.  He is adjusting well.  I think this is because he is still being swaddled and has Sleep Sheep.  Thank goodness for Sleep Sheep.

I finally was able to figure out the video camera and uploaded some to my computer.  Here is the little guy in action as of now.  He is moving his arms and legs a lot.  He smiles and focuses his eyes on us and on some objects.  He is still in love with the light from the ceiling fan.  Hey, whatever works, right!!!

This weekend we are going on another trip, this time to New Jersey.  We will be stopping by and seeing Great Grammy Rhoda, Grandma Marsha, Aunt Phyllis, Zena, Amisha (along with Veer) and Nital.  We can't wait.

Here is the little one at 7 weeks:
