WEEK 10

Nothing much happened this week.  I did get to take Colby out to visit some friends.  I got to catch up with Allison, Jess and Matt at my favorite place "The Diner".  We are gonna make this a weekly ritual now until I go back to work.  It was great having some adult interaction.  I didn't realize how much I missed it.  There seems to be a lot of drama at work (like always).  This I do not miss.  Hopefully, I will not be brought into it.  I still have two more weeks left so I now got to make the most of my time off (still must scrapbook).

Now that Colby is 2.5 months old, I feel like I am getting the whole parent thing down.  If you look back at my week 1-6 posts, it was crazy.  I didn't know anything.  He has a routine now.  Colby takes 2 naps a day and goes to bed around 7:30 pm-9:00 pm.  He sleeps until 2:30 am and then until 6:00 am.  Things have defiantly turned around.  Breastfeeding is also a lot easier and not painful anymore.  I wish I could have told my past self things would be a lot different a month later.

This got me thinking of my current friends who are pregnant now or who just recently had babies and what really helped Bill and myself survive these first months.  This is my current list and I am sure things will be added to it as the months go on. What is a "must have" on your list?

The Top Must Haves for New Parents:
                                       (1) The Boppy
                                       (2) The Sleep Sheep
                                       (3) Swaddling Blankets
                                       (4) Pacifiers
                                       (5) Baby Bjorn
                                       (6) Breast Pump
                                       (7) Infant Swing and Bouncer
                                       (8) Ipad for music

Colby is adjusting very well to his cloth diapers and they are what is helping him sleep better through the night.  He also has started making different vocal sounds.  They are just the cutest sounds in the world.  One day I will put up some more videos on here.    Here is some cute pics of the little man taken this week.

Here is Colby at 10 weeks:
